Auspicing is a service provided to members of Ausdance NSW. The management of grant funds for individuals / organisations who have limited infrastructure. This involves uniquely crafted arts management consultations specific to each artist / group. This can include; planning, grant writing, growth planning, risk management and administrative support (contracting, invoicing, brokering).
ASSOCIATED ORGANISATIONS PROGRAM:
Ausdance NSW currently supports 3 associated organisations;
Catapult and Flipside Project (Director Cadi McCarthy) Newcastle. Producing programs and performances for emerging, mid-career and established artists including Flipside youth company, classes and programs.
Dance Integrated Australia (Director Philip Channels), Northern Rivers (Regional) Focus on integrated dance disciplines focusing on creative ageing and intersections with Disability.
Murmuration (Artistic Director Sarah-Vyne Vassallo and Dan Daw, Western Sydney. Working with professional artists with and without a Disability.
Through this program Ausdance NSW offers long-term strategic advice, mentoring and coaching, marketing of programs and administrative and auspicing services for the organisations to grow until they are self-sustainable.
In 2020 we began a new partnership to support the arts business and management of Dance Cinema.
Glance @ Dance is the Ausdance NSW’s industry night and events, held three time a year, celebrating the year’s dance achievements. Using the year’s research to guide the event’s program, in 2019 we brought together leaders from several of our sector networks and areas of interest including, the NSW Tertiary Dance Network, Independent Small to medium companies, and artists, from regional, First Nations, CALD, disability, backgrounds and different stages, emerging, mid-career, established. Panel was facilitated by artist Annalouise Paul featuring practitioners, academics and cultural workers including Dean Walsh, Claire Hicks, Vicki Van Hout, Skip Willcox and Nalina Wait. 2021 event will highlight our DAIR Residents and their new work.
Ausdance NSW is the key support & advocacy body, for the creation, presentation and practice of dance in NSW.
Ausdance NSW is part of the Ausdance National Network.
